General Guidelines
The abstract submission is only possible on-line. Abstracts submitted by other means or not compliant with the instructions will not be accepted.
- You may be the presenting author of any number of abstracts.
- All accepted submissions will either be presented as posters or as oral presentations (please indicate your preference during the submission process).
- All abstracts have to be submitted in English.
- There is no fee for abstract submission but presenting authors must be registered participants of the conference.>
- All submitted abstracts will be scored by a panel of judges. From the abstracts submitted for oral presentation, the highest ranked will be selected for workshop talks.
- All poster presenters will be eligible to participate in the best poster award.
- Accepted abstracts will be published in Georgian Biomedical News (ISSN (Online): 2720-8796).
Abstract Submission Guidelines
General Requirements:
- All abstracts must be submitted in English.
- Work must align with at least one of the Key Themes listed above.
- Abstracts should present original research, innovations, or educational strategies.
Format:
- Word limit: 300 words (excluding title, authors, affiliations)
- Title: Clear, concise, sentence case, bold
- Authors: Full names with institutional affiliations
- Presenting author must be underlined
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12, single-spaced
- Enter the source(s) of contributed support and/or grant numbers at the end of the abstract text
- Graphics, pictures and tables are not allowed
- Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors
Structured Format (recommended):
- Background
- Objective
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
Review Criteria:
- Relevance to medical education and the conference themes
- Clarity and coherence
- Educational significance and innovation
- Methodological rigor
Oral Presentation Guidelines
Timing:
- 12 minutes for presentation
- 3 minutes for Q&A
- Content Suggestions:
- Begin with a brief background and objective
- Use visual aids effectively
- Emphasize key results and their implications
- Conclude with 1–2 take-home messages
Technical Info:
- File formats: PowerPoint
- Bring your presentation on a USB drive
- Presentations must be in English
Poster Presentation Guidelines
Poster Specifications:
- Size: A0 (120×90 (standard), portrait orientation
- Language: English
- Include clear sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions
- Use visuals (charts, images) to convey key information
- Font size must be readable from 1 meter
Setup and Display:
- Posters must be mounted on time (time allocation will be provided)
- Presenters are expected to be available during the poster session
Content Tips:
- Be concise – use bullet points
- Focus on clarity and design
- Display author names and affiliations clearly
- Optional: include a QR code for supplementary materials or contact info
Evaluation:
- Posters may be reviewed based on clarity, design, relevance, and impact
